Single awareness day... well, yeah, it's a way of single people to make fun of their situation. I get that shit. But why go die-hard and announce it to the world? First up, and don't get me wrong, I'm proud of you acknowledging the fact that you are alone. Good job. Not a lot of peeps have the guts to do that shit. But don't do it on valentine's.

You destroy the moment that our brothers have been working on for about a year. They've been making kwento whatever to their buddies "Ito na pare.. tatanungin ko siya sa Valentine's". He even bought a nice red shirt for the occasion. Classes are about to begin and he goes to Ateneo. I, personally, do believe that Ateneo (next to UP) is the best campus in the country. Falling leaves, trees, our new red brick road. It spells guy-asking-girl-out-for-siomai the moment you see it. Anyways, so the guy gets to school. And then you people. YOU HAPPEN.

You take all the love out of the air. You try to make the whole world appeal to you. Feel pity for you. Although you may not notice it.. greeting other peeps "Happy Single Awareness day" is the ultimate and official Feb.14 catchphrase of Loserness.

Last year in Ateneo, you had people saying loudly "Happy Single Awareness day". They said it loudly and it eventually replaced the "kita tayo sa caf" as the most expressed words in the University that day. I haven't felt so masa in my life. Poor people do that shit. Not the elite!! You have all this Happy Single Awareness Day bullshit, saying how miserable you are, yet proud of it at the same time. You destroy the magic of Valentine's and serenity of Ateneo. You destroy Valentine's (period!!!). Parang palengke na ang skul ko mehn. If you have nothing nice to say, keep it under your shorts. Ateneo last year, when people greeted me "Happy Single Awareness day". I'm not ashamed to be single, but dude! Don't do that shit to me. Fuck I don't even know you now.

Let the couples be happy. And let everyone just be awkwardly silent.. the way it always had been.
