No pain no gain

Goodness. Was yesterday a battle. 

I was there to lose. I didn't want nothing to do with this, a waste of a perfectly good sunday morning to get my ass whooped by a bunch of taekwondo extremists. It's just P.E., the last of which I'm going to join. 

Goodness. I really didn't want to win, if it weren't for my ka-P.E's i probably wouldn't have started. Anton was done, finishing off his opponent, so was Mon, Jay and Pao. 

My turn, stop the class and ruin our perfect record? Usually, labelled as "the screwer" this'd be the perfect opportunity to do so. 

I won my first match. First casualty: Stubbed left toe 

Oliver wasn't up till after my second match. He was the last of us to compete, but destiny had it in for our class. Mon vs. Anton. Oliver was relieved that he wouldn't be the first in our class to go home. While everybody was taking in the loss of Mon, my second match was about to begin - against a red belter (ain't that against the rules or something?). 

  Again, I won ( he wasn't that much of a redder) ... a guaranteed medal and now a bruised right bicep. 

A medal, my first in ateneo. I was happy with bronze, considering the fact that i was dreaming of a first round loss earlier in the day. It was the semi's. Let's skip the chitter chatter and lemme give you the bottomline- Sudden death. 

 Bronze only? that's what I wouldn't get cause I whooped the mickey mouse look alike's ass. Whooped it. Oh yeah, he took out my right foot in the process. 

So now, THE FINALS I never really got his name, but we met earlier in the competiton. He was checking out the board for our division bracket. "Pare, tangina to, kakatamad, gusto ko na umuwi" he was whispering to himself, so i decided to answer... "tagal pa ng araw, alabang pa ako uuwi". "Patalo ka sa first round?". "Baka" was his answer. That "baka" led both of us to the finals, the peak of the competition we didn't want to join. 

So I got the silver. He beat me. And now we could both go home.
